About Me!

My name is Karissa Woodin and I founded Karissa’s Cakes while I was pregnant with my son, Jackson, and attending graduate school full time at Cortland State University. I started making cakes for my family, my children, and even my own wedding! My family and friends always told me that I should start a business, but I always doubted myself. One day, I just decided to take that leap. It all began with a post on social media that said, “I am going to start taking orders to make cakes!” Within a few hours, I was booked out months in advance.

Karissa’s Cakes offers her professional expertise and a wide range of wedding cake designs for you to choose from. This vendor will set up a time with you for a consultation and a tasting to get a full understanding of your needs and preferences for your wedding cake. Karissa’s Cakes also offers groom’s cakes, cupcakes, dessert buffets, and cake toppers for you to take advantage of. This vendor also offers a wide variety of flavors and fillings that you can mix and match.

In 2021, Karissa's Cakes won the silver for Best Bakery from Finger Lakes Favorites presented by Cayuga Radio Group.

As a parent, it’s very important to me to be involved in my community and teach my children the importance of volunteering and donating. Each year, Karissa’s Cakes donates several orders and gift certificates to local events.
